Infrastructure/Public Private Partnership

This is also an area in which we possess a vast wealth of experience in our conduct of cases involving varying and complex issues of law in the superior courts of record in Nigeria and arbitral tribunals both within and outside Nigeria. We have a team of highly skilled lawyers that includes two Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN).
With a general increase in the number of disputes parties elect to resolve through arbitration, we have had the opportunity to represent a vast number of local and international clients which include individuals and corporate organisations in disputes involving various and divergent areas of law with continued resounding success.
These include:

  • Final solution to the bar beach erosion problem and waterfront development – we acted as legal advisers to Entech Consultants of South Africa in conjunction with the Lagos State Government in 2001.
  • Tincan Island Port Concession– we acted as legal advisers to Josepdam and Sons Limited in respect of the port concession programme of the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Bureau of Public Enterprise in 2005.
  • Multipurpose Port Terminal – we acted as legal advisers in respect of a multipurpose port terminal for Modandola Group in Apapa, Lagos in connection with N. N. Rothschild (Investment Bank in the United Kingdom) and Ashurst (London).
  • Onitsha River Port – we were part of a consortium with HPC Consulting of Germany for the provision of an outline business case (OBC) for the establishment of a port at Onitsha by National Inland Waterways Authority.
  • Lekki – Ikoyi Toll Bridge – we acted as legal advisers to the concessionaire in respect of the public private concession of the Lekki-Ikoyi toll bridge in Lagos.
  • Badagry Port – we are currently acting as legal advisers to the concessionaires in respect of the public-private concession of the proposed Badagry Port.
